Wendy Livingstone is a credentialled Diabetes Educator who works at Ballina Community Health in Northern NSW.
Since 1985 she has been involved in establishing and conducting hospital based diabetes education services, developing diabetes programs for GP Divisions, conducting retinopathy screening and data collection programs in remote areas for QLD Health and was on the working party for the development of State wide Diabetes Education Guidelines for the Queensland Health Outcomes Unit.
Wendy has just completed a masters by research looking at the impact of diabetes related amputations for people once they leave hospital and return to their community.
She has an interest in diabetes in adolescents, particularly their transition from the paediatric to adult model of care.
